Questions & answers
How does the first appointment work?
The first appointment takes 90 minutes. We talk in detail about your medical history, existing findings and your current symptoms. This is followed by a diagnosis based on Chinese medicine and the first treatment.
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are very fine. Usually you only feel a brief prick or a slight pulling sensation.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your concern. In the first session we discuss how many appointments make sense.
How much does a treatment cost?
First session incl. consultation (90 min) €90, follow-up treatment (60 min) €80, acute treatment (45 min) €50. With proof, a reduced rate of €70 or €60 is possible. You can find all details under Treatments & prices.
How are costs billed and who covers them?
I bill according to the German fee schedule for naturopaths (GebüH). Private health insurance, Beihilfe and supplementary naturopathy insurance reimburse all or part of the costs, depending on your plan. If you have statutory health insurance, you pay yourself. You can pay in cash, via PayPal or by invoice.
Can I combine acupuncture with conventional medical treatment?
Yes. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine work well alongside medical, psychotherapeutic or physiotherapy treatment and medication. Just tell me what else you're currently doing.
Does acupuncture have side effects?
Acupuncture is low-risk. A small bruise may appear where a needle was placed, and some people feel relaxed or tired afterwards. Occasionally symptoms temporarily get worse for about 24 to 48 hours (initial worsening).
How short-notice can I cancel or reschedule?
Free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. For later cancellations or no-shows without good reason, I charge the full fee.
When and where can I book?
Tuesdays at Dieffenbachstraße 36, Wednesdays at Möckernstraße 66 – both in Kreuzberg. You can see available times directly on Doctolib.
Is the treatment available in English?
Yes – consultations and treatments are fully available in English. German version →
